For this design, CIVIVI not only changed up the lock type but also went with Sandvik 14C28N stainless steel for the blade and lengthened the design about an inch overall. This makes for a completely different knife, in the same footprint that we all know and love, but this one is just downright better. The Sandvik blade will take a razor-sharp edge and provides excellent stainless properties making this a great outdoorsman’s knife. The pocket clip is now reversible for left-handed users, however, the button lock still favors righties. The lanyard post is now hidden on the backspacer – which is an excellent design choice, and the only thing that might make it better is a flipper tab. The Button Lock Elementum is ready for all-day use, tactical scenarios, and the outdoors while remaining one of the best, most capable knives at this price point.

The Hadros is an efficient cutter from Dylan Mallery with an ultra-slender handle. The wide Wharncliffe blade is deployed with dual thumb studs and has a hollow saber grind for maximum sharpness. Its slim handle is probably our favorite feature of this knife, making for a comfortable grip and easy carrying EDC piece. The handle is just enough to cover the blade in the closed position and allow for an ergonomic grip, nothing more. It would make a viable outdoorsman knife and is perfectly poised to excel at utility tasks. Give the Hadros a shot, you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

The first and most recognizable part of this design is the D2 tanto blade. It’s big, it’s broad, and it’s flat ground for toughness. The action is very pleasing as the size of the blade, the detent, and the caged ceramic bearings make it buttery smooth using the studs or flipper tab. This tab acts as a finger guard preventing you from accidentally sliding forward onto the blade when using. The ergonomic handle has a solid feel provided by the stainless steel liners and we don’t think it gets any more comfortable than this. Add in a reversible deep carry pocket clip and backspacer with lanyard slot built-in and you have a tactical knife built for anyone. Finally, it’s priced for everyone and each variant might just be cooler than the last.
